it's been a long time...hasn't it?

Hello, again. There's probably no one coming to my site so I guess this blog is meaningless? I don't know. I put this new counter thingy on my site and the only person that comes to my site is my friend back in Kentucky (and he only comes on here cause I told him too). Anyways, I left off where we started on the road. We had already given our two dogs, Abby and Sophie, some meds to not make them nervous. And I was already settled in and watching "High School Musical" for the thousandth time on my portable DVD player. My dad was driving and my mom was in the front seat with him. Grandma was in the middle and I was in the very back (which is my favorite spot in the car). Just to let you know, we were in a blue Moutainneer, which was very classy. Mom says that when I'm old enough to drive (in 2 years), I'm gonna drive the Moutainneer. Uh...well, it could be worse. Anyways, we decided to get some Mcdonald's before we actually got on the road, which by the way was very delicious. And we set out on the highway towards our first stop in Kansas City, Missouri. I'm still pondering over the fact that Kansas City is in Missouri and not Kansas. It's weird....Anyways, we finally made it to our destination after passing the St. Louis Arch and a BUNCH of rest stops. We came to a Best Western and turned in for the night. The next morning, we went to Mcdonald's again and got some hashbrowns and McGriddles and such and headed on out. Of course, I didn't get much sleep that night because I told you before that my grandma SNORES LIKE HELL!!!!! And I was the one sleeping beside her. So, for most of that day, I slept. But, I obliged to let mom sit in the very back so that she could talk to grandma and watch movies. I leaned back the front seat and put on my CD player and listened to my favorite CD of all time, the soundtrack to Spider-Man 2. I can sleep to any music. It's weird. Anyways, we got to our destination, which was basically out in the middle of nowhere. In the morning, we stopped by the gas station and we got some breakfast in there. We were off again...I was still in the front, but I didn't feel that tired. I think I was just so tired that I slept even deeper and I couldn't hear my grandma...I don't know...it's a possibility. I was more upbeat that day because we were actually gonna get to Salt Lake City that day. I watched "Anger Management" and I was cracking up, even though no one could hear it but me. My mom was confused and my grandma was trying to read her book and it was getting on her nerves. So, I tried to keep it together, and surprisingly, I did. But, when I was done watching it, I gave Mom the DVD player at a rest stop and she started cracking up too. The bad thing was she couldn't stop laughing. So, I just put my headphones on and listened to the wonderful rock songs of Spider-Man.

Crap, I gtg to bed. At least everyone knows I'm still alive (at least someone). Ttyl!

like totally!

Hello, again...*preppy voice* Are you like totally into my blog now? Like I have a totally awsome blog! Oh my god! *cough cough* Sorry...Anyways, I left off where this guy didn't even know that I was moving, which is totally uncool! So, I took a lot of pictures and stuff and I got a lot of people to sign my notebook and my t-shirt. I got a bunch of email addresses and phone #'s too, which is a really important thing if you really wanna talk to people again. (like totally!) Anyways, the moving truck was coming in a couple of days. My dad came home so that he could organize the movers and stuff like that. The next day, the movers came to check out the house. (for some odd reason...) Then that next day, the packing truck came with all the boxes and crap. For some odd reason, they started up in my room first, which was okay for me cause I was gonna be staying at my grandma's house the entire week!! don't you just love your grandma? Anyways, I had all my stuff ready to go and I was off to my grandma's house!! *singing* To grandmother's house we go! To grandmother's house we go!
Um...yeah...
Anyways, I was probably online for most of the entire week cause they were packing our computer! (which was horrible...) So, that was a great advantage!! (and they had high-speed!!!!) So, I went to a couple of my cousin's ball-games, I went to work with my grandma, and one time I even got to stay home alone with my grampa! and all he does is watch TV all day until he falls asleep in his favorite recliner (sp?). We had just decided to take my grandma with us on the road trip. She wanted to go really bad so, we were just so gracious enough to let her go with us. It was a tough decision to make because she snores!! I mean...really SNORES!!! It was horrible the first night but I got used to it eventually, since I was the one sleeping right beside her! Anyways, the day had come to say goodbye and start our 3-day road trip across America.

Oh, crap. I have to go to Shop-Ko with my mom. (It's like Target, if you didn't know.)

all that jazz

Hello again, fellow bloggers...again. Anyways, on with the show! So, as I was saying a couple of days ago, my mom was so depressed and all that jazz. She was so depressed, on one of her days off she went to the doctor and got some depression medication. It kinda worked but every other day I would her her bawling in her bedroom w/ her door locked. So, at this time we had already put the house up for sale. It's a 6000 sq. ft. house. Who wouldn't want that? The only thing wrong w/ a 6000 sq. ft. house was the price: $410,000. There was only 1 showing and the minute they were in there, they were out. I can't believe someone would do that! Our house was one of those modern ones w/ the flat screen TV's and all that jazz. Anyways, no one was REALLY interested so we lowered the price to $399,999. Still, no takers. So, we lowered the price AGAIN to $389,000. We had one couple that came and they were blown away! We were certain they were gonna buy it. We almost guaranteed that they would. They came a 2nd time and, to our surprise, they brought along their entire family! Now, we knew they were gonna buy it! After that day, we never heard anything from them again. What the heck!! We couldn't believe it...They were the closest people to buy the house. There were about 5 more showings and no one was impressed. May came very quickly. The moving trucks were coming May 30. I was getting out of school May 24. I couldn't believe it...I was going to move in a month. Then came the CATS testing. Ugh...it was so boring...I bet I had the best sleep of my life that week! I also got a Parent Communication Form (the substitute for detention at my school) for dozing off during the English part of the test. The last week of school was near. I was having more fits than my mom those last couple of weeks...scary...*twitch* Finally, the last day of school...the first day of my life that I EVER cried I school (that I remember). Earlier in the year we had our 8th grade trip to DC and Williamsburg, VA. We had an assembly and they showed a slide show and couple of videos that were just horrific...like the video of me and my friends doing a really weird rap that we made up of the trip. It was really embarrassing. Everyone was staring at us when it was over. I just pulled up the hood on my jacket and slouched down in my seat like no one could see me, but I knew they could; like I could make myself invisible, which I knew I couldn't. Anyways, after the assembly I was bawling like...uh...my mom, I guess. My chorus teacher saw me bawling w/ my friends patting me on the back saying, "Let it all out" or "It's okay! We're still gonna be in contact!" and then my teacher came over and hugged me...YUCK!! I wanted to push her off, but she's a teacher! If I pushed her off of me, she would think that I didn't like her! (which I didn't) But then would I have gotten a PCF? (if you don't know what that means, you're not really paying much attention to the story, are you?) Anyways, this guy named Daniel stopped and stared at me like I was an animal in a cage. My best friend Tory told him to give me some space. (she never thinks before she speaks) He asked why was I crying. Tory told him that I was moving to Utah in a couple of days. (these are his exact words:) "She's moving to Utah? I didn't know that!" OMG!!!!!!! over the past 5 months, I've practically told the entire school and everyone I know that I was moving!! UUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!! that makes me so mad!!!

Sorry again, you already know why I'm getting off. *sniffs* Mmm! Beef Stroganoff (sp?)!!
Talk to you bloggers later!!

your great grandmother

hello again, fellow bloggers. It's Jade, being my usual self: roaming around the house talking to myself about random things that pop into my creative mind. The most creative thing I thought of was a monkey w/ a mustache w/ a nub for a tail wearing a tux doing the hustle. Very random, I know...muahaha...*smile*
Ne ways, *clears throat* on with the story...now, where were we? . . . ah! yes, I remember...(I know, I start off stories like your great grandmother) My mom was so depressed, crying every night. She even had a picture of my dad on her nightstand. It was like she would never see him again. He decided to come home once every month. Good enough...but not enough for my mom. I had my busy schedule and she worked 3 days a week, giving her enough time to be by herself, which was great.

*sigh* Sorry...my mom just called me down for dinner. Geez, can't we have dinner some other time?

*sigh*

*sigh* my first post! You're probably wondering what the title of this blog is supposed to mean. Well, I moved across the country with my mom, dad, and grandma in 3 days. Impossible is it? Well, it's not really across the entire country. Just from my hometown in Louisville, Kentucky to Salt Lake City, Utah. Let's start from the very beginning. It all started the week before Christmas 2005. My dad just got the news from is boss that their shutting down the plant in Louisville and that we'll have to move to a new city or Dad will just have to quit and get a new job. Well, he wasn't gonna do that! He's one step away from being a plant manager! And he's the one getting the most money in the family. The only job opening was in the Salt Lake City plant. He was then forced to move out of the house ans start working ASAP. So, from January to May, me and my mom were alone with our 3 dogs in a 6000 sq. ft. house. You can imagine what it was like for my mom. (Mom, if you're reading this, don't kill me...for mine and your sake.) She was totally depressed, crying every night, keeping a picture of my dad on her nightstand. It was like she was never gonna see him again or something.

Sorry, my dad IMed me to come downstairs for dinner. I'll talk to you bloggers later!
